About Trattoria Masuelli San Marco

Let me introduce you to Trattoria Masuelli San Marco, a place that quietly captures the soul of Piedmontese cuisine right in the heart of Milan. Tucked away on Viale Umbria, this restaurant feels like a personal recommendation from a local rather than a flashy spot trying to impress, and that’s exactly its charm. From the moment you step inside, the atmosphere leans traditional and welcoming, with a clear focus on food that tells a story rather than follows trends. The menu reflects classic Piedmontese roots, built around comforting flavors, thoughtful techniques, and ingredients that don’t need much embellishment. It’s the kind of place where dishes arrive with confidence, not explanation, because they speak for themselves. Whether you’re stopping by for a relaxed dine-in experience or choosing the convenience of takeaway or delivery, the restaurant keeps the same standard throughout, which is not always easy to find. There’s also a divulgado attention to balance, offering hearty plates alongside healthier options, making it approachable for different tastes and moods. Drinks are treated with equal respect, so wine lovers will feel at home exploring well-paired bottles, while others might lean toward beer, spirits, or a simple coffee to finish things off. Another detail that stands out is the late-night food availability, which makes it especially appealing in a city that doesn’t slow down early. What really defines Trattoria Masuelli San Marco, though, is how natural everything feels, from the flow of service to the rhythm of the kitchen, creating an experience that’s warm without being overbearing. It’s ideal for casual dinners, meaningful conversations, or even solo meals where you just want honest food in a calm setting. The restaurant doesn’t try to reinvent Piedmontese tradition, but instead respects it, presenting flavors that feel familiar yet carefully prepared, which makes every visit feel dependable and genuinely satisfying.

Great service and the food was delicious. We ordered the Tagliatella al Ragú di Coniglio Bianco di Cuneo which was well prepared and seasoned. Also, we ordered the risotto with delicious veal meat. Very tender meat and nice saffron flavoured risotto.

Cozy restaurant, far enough from the busy center, yet still within (for us 40 minutes) walking distance. I think the place has a warm and welcoming atmosphere. It took a little bit of time for the waiters to really give us attention. It got better after the first course, but I think they could ask more often if we needed something. The food was good, but I think it lacked a little seasoning to be great. We went for the Apperitif, which came with tasty finger food. My favorite was the sampler of their vitello tonato. We shared a lovely steak tartar. I finished with a main course of Trippa alla Milanese, which was as good as expected, just lacked a little seasoning. The tagliatelle with rabit ragout was delicious. Small selection of wines by the glass, but what was their paired well with the food.

Reasonably priced, good portion sizes and perfect flavours. What we imagined was a traditional Italian restaurant - timeless. Risotto and the ragù pappardelle a hit for us.

A timeless Milanese treasure. Trattoria Masuelli San Marco is where tradition meets soul. The insalata russa is a delicate symphony of texture and flavor, light yet indulgent. The risotto alla milanese with ossobuco is pure poetry — golden, fragrant, with marrow-rich tenderness that lingers. And the costoletta alla milanese? A golden masterpiece: crisp on the outside, buttery soft within. History lives in every bite. Unmissable for anyone seeking the true heart of Milanese cuisine.

Lovely trattoria in residential area of Milan. Sensational food. Cantabrian Anchovy starter was superb. Cod Crostini was ok, but needed more flavour. Duck paparadelle was super, milanese-style risotto was a large portion and nice. Veal Milanese, was huge but very tasty.

Had a white truffle treat , there were 3 white truffle dishes on the specials as I’m here in October and low and behold it’s white truffle season, had the beef tartare, truffle tagliolini and the fried eggs with truffle in that order the tartare and pasta was great and the top off of the fried eggs with plenty of white truffle was absolutely superb and so decadent, thanks for a wonderful dinner

The warm and welcoming atmosphere of Trattoria Masuelli San Marco made me feel right at home from the moment I walked in. Service was attentive and friendly without being intrusive. The food was truly outstanding – the risotto with ossobuco was rich, flavorful, and perfectly cooked, and the dessert was just as impressive. Every detail, from the presentation to the taste, showed genuine passion for authentic Italian cuisine. A place I would gladly return to and recommend to anyone looking for a real taste of Italy.
